All our horses are trained in therapeutic riding.

Midnight is our only girl. She enjoys being groomed. Her specialty is showing off her tricks during ground lessons.

Sparky is on loan from our farrier and is a gentle soul. He is a Halflinger/Paint cross. In the summer he looks like a palomino. His winter coat is that of a strawberry roan.

Phoenix is a handsome guy who loves attention. His red coat is very pretty.

Marley is a rare Icelandic horse. Although he is small he is very strong! He also has a funny personality and a hairdo to match.

Lancelot is a miniature horse. He is great introducing horses and riding to youngsters who may be frightened of larger horses. He might be small but he believes he is mighty!

Such a handsome fellow!  Spirit is a rescue horse.  He loves people and attention.

Hobbs a favorite at ATRC. He is a sweet boy with good manners who takes care of his riders.

TJ was trained by Ken McNabb.  He made a long cross country journey at some time in his life.  Sweet, well trained and so happy to have found his home in the NC mountains. (Currently on loan to our farrier.)

Our Facility

Our facility is located on 15 acres of beautiful land in the South Toe Valley.  We have a large indoor arena with classroom, office, therapy room, bathrooms and indoor horse stalls.  There is an outdoor riding ring and run-in shelters in all the pastures.  The hay barn overlooks the beautiful valley.
